Charming environment, helpful concierge. The patron was helpful in finding alternative accommodation with a restaurant.
It was not clear that the chateau has no restaurant except for breakfast: very disappointing when it is described as a chateau-restaurant. This meant driving 5km for dinner and no wine! We left after 1 night of 5.

Lovely hotel, absolutely stunning. Staff were polite.
Very rural and extremely difficult to get a taxi. The hotel did not have a chef for the weekend either so after breakfast there was pretty much nothing there and the closest restaurant is a 15 min taxi journey to the nearest town.

Incredible location, grounds and buildings. Friendly welcome and pet friendly. The room was beautiful and well equipped. Stunning communal places to read or relax and a great garden to explore or rest in. Breakfast was delightful with a good range of choices. Parking was easy and safe and the whole stay was wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely personal touches and helpful owner and staff.

a setting like out of a movie and a great place to relax. Beautiful county site and romantic atmosphere. Certainly recommend to take the hotel bike to medieval Auberterre

Chateau Le Mas De Montet was really a wonderful find and we could not believe our luck. Although the hotel is a little out of the way in a secluded spot near the village of Petit-Bersac, it was a beautiful and scenic drive through the French countryside to the hotel. The hotel's grounds are really something, there is a lovely pool at the back of the hotel and while we were there we had fresh figs plucked from the fig tree in the grounds for breakfast. The staff were very accommodating to us - it was truly old school hospitality. We can't wait to go back again!
If I had a niggle, it would be that the hotel could think about introducing some variety in the breakfast (which was largely continental) and perhaps have a cooked breakfast option.

Great buildings beautifully restored and furnished. Lovely pool and gardens.
Service was dismissive bordering on rude which you expect in Paris but not in the regions. Meal was good but expensive, our wine waiter did not have a clue about the wines on offer which was surprising given what we were paying.

The ambience, the setting, the decor and furnishing, the service - what's not to like.
Nothing.

Beautiful location and you were made to feel very at home.
Breakfast was a little uninspired - carton orange juice and limited fresh fruit. Also outside of meals it was not easy to see how you could get a drink - no water, tea / coffee self-service. Although when you asked staff they obliged and showed you where to get cool water from. Just needs some signage.

The place is wonderful and you can take a bicycle. Large room.
The room is rather dark as there is only one narrow window. Shower is not comfortable. No service at breakfast, and choice is poor.

Very elegant but comfortable decor. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and restful. Excellent food -- one of the best dinners we had in France. Peaceful setting and beautiful countryside with interesting villages around. Extremely helpful and attentive staff.
Absolutely no complaints. We loved every minute.

The Chateau was beautiful in an idyllic situation. Room was lovely. Did not have dinner here as we were visiting friends in Riberac, so cannot comment.
We thought the continental buffet breakfast was a bit pricey at 15€ each and bread was unavailable for toast
